Business COVID-19 Safety Toolkit for Employees

This tool kit provides employees with information and resources to help them safely work during COVID-19. It includes material on:

 – Protocols and requirements for workplace safety 

– Information on COVID-19 and when you should get tested

– Workers rights and compensation (i.e. paid sick leave) that employees may be able to qualify for.

Access to COVID-19 Testing and Healthcare

For COVID-19 testing you should contact your healthcare provider first. They are required to provide you with free testing. If you do not have a healthcare provider, the county of San Diego offers free COVID-19 testing.  There are many testing centers across the San Diego county, including drive-through testing sites.

Employee rights, Paid sick leave, and Benefits

To protect workers and ensure that they can quarantine if necessary, the federal government passed the Families First Corona virus Relief Act. Under the provision, qualifying workers are guaranteed the right to two weeks of paid sick leave related to COVID-19 among other benefits.
